அன்று தைமாதம் முதலாம் திகதி அனைத்து பாடசாலைகளும் கல்விச் செயற்பாடுகளுக்காக ஆரம்பிக்கும்நாள். நீண்ட நாட்களாக விடுமுறையில் இருந்த பாடசாலை இன்றுதான் ஆரம்பிக்கிறது. பழைய மாணவர்களும் புதிய மாணவர்களும் பாடசாலையில் நுழைகின்றார்கள். அனைவரது முகங்களும் சந்தோசத்தால் மலர்ந்திருக்கின்றன. பாடசாலை பிரதான வாயிலை நோக்கி இருக்கும் பாதையில் விரைவாக நடக்கின்றான் கண்ணன். அப்போது வேகவேகமாக துவிச்சக்கரவண்டியில் வந்த ஒரு மாணவன் இவனை மோதிவிட்டான். இருவரும் தடாலென கீழே விழுந்துவிட்டார்கள். கண்ணன் சுதாகரித்து கொண்டு முதலில் எழும்பினான். பின்னர் மோதிவிழுந்த மாணவனை தூக்கியும் விட்டான்

On the first day of first month, every school which were on the vacation for the past year, start their academic activities for the year. New and old students enter the school. Every faces are blooming with happiness. And Kannan - fresh one for this school, started walking quickly on the path towards the main gate and suddenly a student speeding on two-wheeler moves fast towards him and hit him. Oops. Both of them fell down. Kannan was the first one to get up after realizing the incident, and got up himself. Then he lifted the other fallen student.

குமார்: மன்னிக்க வேண்டும். முதல் நாள் வகுப்பறைக்கு செல்லும் அவசரத்தில் உங்களை கவனிக்காமல் மோதிவிட்டேன்.

Kumar: Sorry. I accidentally bumped into you in my rush to class on the first day.

கண்ணன்: பரவாயில்லை. விடுங்கள். என் பெயர் கண்ணன் உங்கள் பெயர் என்ன?

Kannan: No problem. Let it go. My name is Kannan. What is your name?

குமார்: வணக்கம் கண்ணன். நான் குமார். நீங்கள் எங்கிருந்து வருகிறீர்கள்.
Kumar: Hello Kannan. I am Kumar. Where are you from?

கண்ணன்: நான் யாழ்ப்பாணத்தை சேர்ந்தவன். நீங்கள் எந்த ஊர்?
Kannan: I am from Jaffna. What city are you from?

குமார்: நான் கண்டியை சேர்ந்தவன். உங்களுடைய வயது என்ன கண்ணன்?
Kumar: I am from Kandy. How old are you Kannan?

கண்ணன்: என்னுடைய வயது இருபது ஆகும். உங்களுக்கு எத்தனை வயது?

Kumar: My age is twenty. How old are you?

குமார்: அடடே! எனக்கும் இருபது வயது தான் ஆகிறது. நீங்கள் எந்த பிரிவில் கற்பதற்காக வந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்
Kumar: God Damn! I am only twenty years old. In which department you have come to study

கண்ணன்: நான் கலைப்பிரிவில் கற்பதற்காக வந்திருக்கிறேன். நீங்கள் எந்த பிரிவு குமார்?
Kannan: I have come to study in art department. Which sect are you Kumar?

குமார்: நானும் கலைப்பிரிவுதான். இன்று தான் எனக்கும் இங்கு முதல் நாள்.
Kumar: I am also from Art Division. Today is my first day here.

கண்ணன்: அப்படியா? மிகவும் நல்லது. அப்படியானால் இருவரும் சேர்ந்து கற்க போகிறோம்.
Kannan: Really? Very good, so we are both going to learn together.

குமார்: ஆமாம். வாருங்கள். நான் உங்களை ஏற்றி செல்கிறேன்.நாம் வகுப்பறைக்கு சேர்ந்தே போவோம்.
Kumar: Yes. come on I will pick you up. We will go to the classroom together.

இப்படியாக இருவரும் ஒரு வண்டியில் சென்றார்கள். மோதலில் அறிமுகமாகினாலும் நல்ல நண்பர்களாக உருவாகினார்கள்.

In this way, both were introduced in a conflict but became good friends.
