Public Transportation in Russian



Lesson Objective:


By the end of this lesson, learners will be able to use basic vocabulary and phrases related to public transportation in Russian, ask for and give directions, and understand how to navigate public transport systems.

Grammar Point:


In this lesson, we focus on using the prepositions «на» (on) and «в» (in) with transportation modes and places, and the accusative case for destinations.

  • Он едет на трамвае. — He’s going by tram.

  • Мы заходим в метро. — We are entering the metro.

  • Где ближайшая остановка? — Where is the nearest stop?
