Using the verb "хотеть" (to want):


In Russian, we use the verb "хотеть" to express desire. It is a modal verb and conjugates depending on the subject.



  • Я хочу хлеб. - I want bread.

  • Ты хочешь чай? - Do you want tea?

  • Он хочет кофе. - He wants coffee.


Note: The verb "хотеть" is irregular and changes form based on person and number.
