Weather and Seasons in Portuguese
Lesson Objective:
By the end of the lesson, learners will be able to talk about the weather and name the four seasons in Portuguese. They will understand common weather-related expressions and use them in basic conversation.

Grammar Point:
Expressions with "Está" (It is):
In Portuguese, the verb "estar" (to be) is commonly used to describe the current weather:
- Está sol – It is sunny
- Está frio – It is cold
- Está chovendo – It is raining
Note: Weather expressions usually use the third-person singular form of the verb "estar".
"Fazer" for general conditions:
- Faz calor – It is hot
- Faz frio – It is cold
Use "fazer" when talking about general weather conditions, and "estar" for specific descriptions.
