Grammar Point:


In Portuguese, the days of the week are not capitalized, unlike in English. The months of the year also begin with lowercase letters. To express dates, the usual format is: day + de + month (e.g., 5 de maio).



Examples:



  • Hoje é terça-feira. (Today is Tuesday.)

  • Meu aniversário é em outubro. (My birthday is in October.)

  • Vamos viajar em julho. (We are going to travel in July.)

  • A reunião é na segunda-feira. (The meeting is on Monday.)
