Grammar Point:



In Bengali, numbers are used both as standalone words and as modifiers of nouns. Unlike English, Bengali numerals often come before the noun they describe.


Example:



  • One boy – এক ছেলে (Ek chele)

  • Four apples – চারটি আপেল (Charti apel)



Note that quantifiers such as "টি (ti)" are often added for countable nouns.
